Cheers to the New Year! A message from our Founder.

I hope that the 2022 brings you lots of love, joy, and happiness.

We have gained lots of new members over the holidays. For those of you that don’t know, Taupe Coat just celebrated its 5th Anniversary.

When I started Taupe Coat, I was a 29 year old in need of a hobby or something! I had been an attorney in a law firm for only one year and I could already tell it was NOT something I wanted to do for much longer.

Taupe Coat was the fun, creative outlet I lacked in my life. But becoming a business owner had an unexpected effect on me. It made me insanely confident in myself.

This newfound confidence transformed me as a person. I stopped taking shit from people at work. I moved from a city I’d been living in where I was unhappy. And basically decided I was going to start doing what I wanted to do, instead of what I felt was expected of me.

Until recently, Taupe Coat has been a hobby I’ve done while I worked full time. I honestly never planned to make it my main job. But every year that has gone by, I’ve found more joy in my businesses and felt more freedom as I started to create my own income. So, last year, I made the decision to leave the full time practice of law.

Now that I have the energy, time, and space to fully commit, over the next year, you will see some changes in Taupe Coat.

We will always be a nail care brand focused on clean beauty and community. But there will be some changes in the vibe (and most likely the name!). But I hope that you will stick around for the journey. We have lots of new nail polish for you this year and some new nail care products! I can’t wait to share with you.

If you haven’t already, follow us on Instagram where most of our Taupe Coat activity happens. Our Brunch w/ BP series will be starting up again soon so keep an eye out for that. If you want to get to know me a little better, you can find my Instagram here.

Thank you again for joining our Community. I’m looking forward to how Taupe Coat will grow in 2022 and hopefully, for many more years to come.
