A Plant Based Nail Polish Remover That Actually Works
As millennials and Gen-Xers are moving away from chemical laden beauty products, and towards clean and vegan products, Taupe Coat releases Succulent, its new plant-based nail polish remover that works as well as acetone.
Upland, CA, February 1, 2019 - Taupe Coat (pronounced “top coat”), a boutique nail polish brand, released Succulent, its new vegan nail polish remover late last month at the Indie Beauty Expo in Los Angeles. The nail polish remover is soy based and made with Vitamin E. Because of the Vitamin E, unlike acetone-based nail polish removers, Taupe Coat’s remover moisturizes both the nails and the cuticles rather than drying them out.
Taupe Coat’s founder, Bethany Jennene, loved the reaction of skeptical customers after she let them try Succulent out. “At Indie Beauty Expo, we had several ladies question if our remover actually worked. Having tried many acetone free nail polish removers myself, I understood their skepticism. So, I handed them a cotton ball and invited them to take off their polish. Watching their shock at how well it worked affirmed for me that we are on to something great here.”
While the number of vegan and non-toxic nail polish brands is on the rise, vegan nail polish removers have seen slower growth. Taupe Coat plans to fill that void with Succulent. In the future, the company plans to release variations with essential oils and eventually travel sized pads.
Succulent is available now on Taupe Coat’s website and retails for $14.99.
